Dr Gheewala acquired his MBBS degree from MIMER Medical College, Pune. He then took up Surgery at Saifee Hospital, Mumbai and was trained by the finest Surgeons in Mumbai. He further acquired the MRCS degree by the Royal College of Surgeons, Edinburgh, United Kingdom.
