Dr Gheewala acquired his MBBS degree from MIMER Medical College, Pune. He then took up Surgery at Saifee Hospital, Mumbai and was trained by the finest Surgeons in Mumbai. He further acquired the MRCS degree by the Royal College of Surgeons, Edinburgh, United Kingdom.
Later, to add another feather to his cap, he did a fellowship in Colorectal Surgery for 2 years from York NHS Hospital, Yorkshire, United Kingdom. He also has acquired skills in Robotic Surgery, certified from the renowned Severance Yonsei Hospital, Seoul, S. Korea.
